Toward Life: When the World Gets Small
Sometimes I catch myself being swallowed by small, everyday worries.
The kind of thoughts that seem harmless at first. Practical even. But if I’m honest, they quietly shrink my world.
I like to call them belittling thoughts—not because they insult us, but because they literally make life feel smaller.
The other day I noticed one of those thoughts while I was driving my car.
It had slipped in unnoticed, wrapping itself around something trivial, something that suddenly felt far more important than it actually was.
